Tiny Books
A miniature book press for makers, and a shelf for readers.
About
Tiny Books is a desktop press that turns a cover image into a complete printable miniature book: front cover, colour-matched spine, and back cover, laid out flat as one wrap you print, cut and fold. It prints at five true scales, each fitted to something real rather than to a round number: a 1 1/2 inch miniature, 1:12 dollhouse books sized to the filler books actually sold for that scale, 1:24 book-nook shelf strips up to seven inches long, the 64mo bibliographic format at its own conventional size, and full-size faux spines at true 9 1/4 inch case height. Every book it binds stands on the app's own shelf, which can be shown a year at a time, shared as a Shelfie, or printed as a fold-up year on a shelf, and a reader can keep more than one library. It runs entirely on your own computer, with no account, no cloud and no telemetry.

Features
- Five print sizes: 1 1/2 inch miniature, 1:12 dollhouse, 1:24 book-nook shelf strips, 64mo, and full-size faux spines
- Composes the whole wrap at once: front cover, colour-matched spine and coordinating back cover in one printable strip
- A shelf for your books: every volume stands spine out, and you can show only what you have read, are reading or want to read
- Show the shelf one year at a time, drag the books into your own order, or put them back newest first
- Take a Shelfie: your shelf composed as one tall picture, sized for a phone screen and ready to share
- A year on a shelf: a year's reading printed as fold-up miniatures, plus a fold-up shelf cut to stand exactly those books
- Libraries: keep separate collections, each with its own stacks and its own shelf, and move a book from one to another
- Mark each book read, reading or want to read, keep the year you read it, and write a private note beside it
- Bring in a whole reading list from a spreadsheet. ISBNs fetch each book's own edition, and books you already have are recognised
- Spine colour is sampled from the cover art, so a shelf of books reads as a set rather than a collage
- 1:12 is sized to the filler books actually sold for dollhouses, so yours stand level with them
- 1:24 prints a run of spines up to seven inches, one whole shelf tier of a book nook per strip
- Faux spines print at true 9 1/4 inch case height, boards included, to stand on a real bookshelf
- Fills a Letter or A4 sheet automatically and shows you the page before you spend paper on it
- Optional filler pages for the sizes that have an interior, so a finished book has something between the covers
- Exports print-ready PDF, or prints straight to your own printer
- Type is set for the size: titles are fitted, and sizes too narrow to carry readable type are left blank rather than smudged
- Works entirely offline: no account, no cloud, no telemetry, no analytics
- One purchase, not a subscription. Every future update included
